Every Summer Dress
This piece explores print and pattern design, centered around a single symbol that evokes memories of my childhood summers spent gardening tomatoes. Each journal page is an experiment in various mediums and techniques, culminating in creating a design for textiles.
The recurring symbol became the foundation for a design I eventually used to transform my art into a wearable piece. The dress I created features this deeply personal motif, bridging the gap between my journaling practice and my short film, "Tomato Tomorrow." This metamorphosis from page to fabric allows the garment to physically manifest my memories, creating a crucial design element that brings visual cohesion to the film's narrative.
